after a few flight delays and an airport nap (me, not Jay) Jay is home again!

its funny because I didn't know that the kids really noticed he was gone, i mean, of course they noticed but Nate didn't actively say oh, I miss Daddy or, where's Daddy. But Mags didn't stop giving him kisses and Nate walked up to him this am and said, Daddy, I'm happy you're back. So cute.

Jay got Nate a baseball glove, ball and Oriole's hat and Nate hasn't really put any of it down, last night he cuddled his ball and glove like a teddy bear.

So, I was concerned that we hadn't taken the snow tires off the vehicles yet but guess what? it is supposed to snow tomorrow. yes, April 27th - actual snow after a beautiful sunny high of 19 today and expected highs of 23 on the weekend.

oh well - it won't last. still, how depressing.

the useless drag of another day

my throat is still sore and i'm done my antibiotics...i should be running but I do not have the energy right now.

after a week long slow down work is getting busy again and we're down a colleague thanks to Vertigo (the illness, not the movie).

looking forward to the weekend. especially since I get my husband back again.

well, i think i'm going to go to bed.

finally got my butt on the treadmill tonight. first time i've really felt up to it since getting sick.

met Lynne for lunch today, did some groceries.

currently catching up on some shows on demand - was thinking of watching An Education or Up In The Air but I'm too tired now. Mags has a cold so I'm kind of afraid its going to be a long night.

Why is it that I feel a little superior when I see a grown woman reading Twilight (sorry Jo!). I know I shouldn't feel that way, I have my own share of non-cerebral guilty pleasures...

This morning on the bus there was a guy who at first just appeared to be smiling at random which I find very creepy. Then I noticed he was reading. Then I noticed he was reading a Bible and then that made me smile randomly which probably looked creepy.

I love Parenthood (the show, well, i guess the actual thing too).

best bad news in a while? i don't have mono, i just have strep throat! yay for treatable with antibiotics strep throat.

after 3 doses i already feel a million times better.

may even go for a run tomorrow evening.

why does it always rain on me?

i have had a sore (i mean popping pills every two hours sore) throat since the Thursday before the Easter long weekend.

I finally went to the doctor on Friday and he thinks that I may have Mono. Like, seriously? how the heck did i get mono? anyway, not confirmed yet (blood test results are pending) but the symptoms, including a large tender spleen fit.

i went to work for the morning last Tuesday and spent the rest of the week at home. hoping to make it into work tomorrow but i'll play it by ear.

went to Deacon for the weekend. thankfully Maggie actually slept through the night and i went to bed at around 8 and had a good night sleep so i actually felt somewhat human today.

i also got Nate registered for Kindergarten after my doctor appointment on Friday because he got into the on-site school day care too which is fantastic. Don't have to worry about busing etc. and its $140 per month cheaper than the other place we were going to place him. oh my goodness, my little baby is starting school in the fall. where did the last 4 years go?

i'm walking on sunshine

the weather has been beyond spectacular the past few days - highs of 27, tons of sunshine. spent much of the past 3 days outside.

also got the house cleaned on Thursday, not that you can really tell now! but i got in all those neglected areas like baseboards, vents and on top of the kitchen cupboards (ew!)

early morning tomorrow - gotta take Jay to the airport for an 8:30 am flight.

we did Easter with the kids this am because they don't know the difference and i wanted Jay to be here. Mags shoved as many jellybeans in her mouth as she could (check the pics on facebook) and Nate had chocolate for breakfast. oh, like mommy like son!

well, not sure how much i'll be blogging over the next few weeks. i'll be without a laptop and for some reason its a lot of effort to go into the basement to type. not that i've been blogging much lately anyway.
