when i find my peace of mind, i'm gonna give you some of my good time...
lots of soul searching the past few days. big decisions. i'm actually heading back to work early for 3 days a week starting at the beginning of Aug (Mon, Tues, Wed). this means my yearly obligation will be done one month sooner and give us more options. it will also help transition the kids more slowly to my going back to work full time.
i haven't decided 100% but the more i think about it the more i want to stay at home. i may of course, change my mind once i'm back at work but i'm feeling rather convicted about the need to stay home with my kids. especially because Jay's career takes him away for such long periods of time.
so the next year is going to be about us getting our ducks in a row so to speak to see if we can make it happen.
Big decisions, no kidding! I'm so happy for you...what a great decision - and even better that you think you've found the perfect lady to watch your little ones while you "take care of business"! So when you say you will be done a month earlier...does that mean Sept 2010?? Or August??

Wow. I think that's great. I hope you find a way to make it work. We are actually starting to consider whether we could both quit the public service and go work overseas. Al had another offer from the company he worked for in Kabul. There's no way I'd do anything until after the Olympics but it's something we are thinking of for the future. Being the man is starting to get me down. :)
