whatever my lot

i love books. always have and sadly i don't get to read nearly as much as i'd like to these days. i also feel like one of the few people who haven't broken down (in my opinion) and gotten an e-reader of some sort. i know, they're cheaper, you can have a ton of them on the device etc. etc. but can an e-reader give you this?

  1. I'm the other person who hasn't given in to the e-reader. And no they can't give you this. I had the occasion recently to go through the bookshelf and as I did many of the books brought back memories of where I read them, where I was in my life at that time, etc. Not going to get that from an e-reader. There is enough ephemeral stuff in our life right now. The physical existence of words on a page in a package that can also be a display piece is a nice counterpoint.
